AP CID Speeds up Inquiry in Mattaiah’s Case
The AP CID has speeded up investigation in case filed by accused A4 in cash-for-vote, Mattaiah against KCR. Soon after the AP government passed orders to CID to take over the case, the officials acquired FIR and other important documents from the Satyanarayanapuram police station in Vijayawada. Mattaiah’s statement was recorded by CID officials in the presence of magistrate. Mattaiah mentioned in the statement that he was regarded as accused in cash-for-vote and later accused of absconding. It is known that he earlier filed a complaint in Satyanarayanapuram police station complaining that threat is posed to him from TRS leaders. Telangana ACB officials forcing Mattaiah to state that AP CM Chandrababu Naidu is involved in cash-for-vote, anonymous phone calls threatening to kill Mattaiah’s wife and children was all recorded in his statement. He mentioned in the complaint that Telangana police may harm him if KCR orders them to do so.
