ATM Van Robbery of Rs.22cr Cash
The robbery of an ATM van transporting Rs.22 crores came as a shocker in capital Delhi. Driver of the ATM van robbed the money on Thursday night and absconded. Police officials who were on hunt for driver Pradeep Sukhla arrested him this morning.
A van bearing number DL 1 LK 9189, driven by Pradeep Sukhla was supposed to transport cash of Rs.22 crores to South Delhi to fill various ATMs in the place. Pradeep Sukhla and security guard Vinay Patel started to South Delhi. Vinay Patel who went to attend call of nature asked Pradeep Sukhla to wait at Govindpuri Metro Station till he arrives. As Vinay Patel went back, he found no sign of the driver or the truck.He immediately informed the same to concerned branch officials, who in turn informed police about the same.
Policemen who started investigation, found the van at a petrol bunk. But they did not find the cash in that van. With this, they split into groups and searched Sukhla’s house and other places he visits. They finally found the driver on Friday morning. Case has been filed against Pradeep Sukhla and police are investigating the matter.
