Baahubali Collects Rs.215 Cr in 2 Weeks
Baahubali is continuing its box office tsunami. The epic already smashed all records set in the history of telugu cinema. Baahubali set a new record by exceeding the highest collections in South Indian cinema ie., Rs.160 crores of Rajinikanth’s Robot. Baahubali is advancing to create new records in Indian cinema as well. Trades experts estimated that Baahubali fever will remain only for 1 week post release but the epic proved them absolutely wrong and is advancing with record level collections in the second week also.
Within 13 days after release, Baahubali part-1 collected Rs. 215 crore share and stood the third highest grossing film in India. Aamir Khan’s PK and Dhoom-3 stood in 1st and 2nd places after collecting Rs.320 crore and Rs.245 crore respectively. Box office analysts estimate that Baahubali will collect Rs. 450 crore gross (total collection) and Rs. 250 crore share (theatre rates and taxes paid to government are subtracted from total collection) in long run. Bollywood box office experts mentioned that it is impossible that Baahubali exceeds collections of PK but it can probably exceed that of Dhoom-3.
