Baahubali Collects Rs.500 Cr Gross in 4 Weeks
Baahubali, the prestigious project of Indian cinema washed all records. The epic is continuing to create wonders with its huge collections. By the end of 4th week, Baahubali collected a gross of Rs.500 crore. Thus Baahubali the first South-Indian film to cross Rs.500 crore mark. In Indian cinema, only two films other than Baahubali reached the mark so far. They are PK and Dhoom-3, both are of Aamir Khan. While Dhoom-3 collected gross of Rs.524 crore, PK collected very huge amount of gross of Rs.740 crore. Baahubali competing with both these films is remarkable. Another interesting aspect is that Baahubali The Beginning that was initially released in around 400 theatres is now playing in 2000 theatres by the end of 4th week.
Baahubali stood the one and only dubbed film to cross Rs.100 crore mark in Bollywood. By the end of four weeks ie., by Sunday, collections of Baahubali reached Rs. 103.51 crore in bollywood.With the victory of Baahubali in hindi, owner of Dharma productions, Karan Johar who purchased Bollywood rights for the film is overjoyed. He conveyed his special appreciation to ace director SS Rajamouli. Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan on the other hand is making record level collections. However, Baahubali stood still to the competition posed by Bajrangi.
