Bankers Protest Against Kavuri
Bankers staged protest demanding payment of loans that ex-MP, former central minister Kavuri Samba Siva Rao had taken from them. The politician loaned about Rs.1000 crores from various banks but had not been repaying them. With this, bankers protested in front of Kavuri’s Progressive Construction company headquarters in Chirah Ali lane today. Around 18 representatives of private and public sector banks held placards and protested silently. They demanded repayment of loans by Samba Siva Rao in order to prevent banks from bankruptcy. He owes Rs.200 crores to Andhra Bank alone, say sources.
