BCCI Bans Wives & Girlfriends of Cricketers on Sri Lanka Tour
The BCCI clearly announced that it is banning arrival of wives and girlfriends of Indian cricketers on Sri Lanka tour. As test captain Virat Kohli and others have taken rest after the Bangladesh tour, BCCI has reportedly taken the decision. “Most of the players on tour are just coming off a month-long break where they had enough time to spend with their families. And we’ve decided that their wives will not be allowed on tour”, said a top BCCI official.
Director Ravi Sastry who was away from New Zealand tour will join the Sri Lanka tour late. As Ravi Sastry is now the TV analyst for Ashes series, there are no signs of him attending the first test match that would be held on 12th august. As per the previously signed deal, he has to go with the Ashes Series first. So, it is being heard that Ravi Sastry informed BCCI that he would be joining the Sri Lanka tour a little late. Due to his absence, Kohli’s team will be assisted by batting coach Sanjay Bangar, bowling coach Sridhar, fielding coach.
