Ben Carson’s Controversial Comments on Muslims

Republican Party leader Ben Carson commented that a Muslim is not eligible for President’s position of the US. In an interview he gave to NBC channel, Carsen said, “I would not advocace that we put up a Muslim in charge of this nation. I absolutely would not agree with that”. He said that principles and values of the nation are important and there was a huge gulf between Muslim faith and American values.

Ben Carsen who is a Republican presidential candidate and he fell from second position to third in opinion poll held on Sunday. While speaking about President Barack Obama, Carsen said that he is a Christian born in America. Another Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said that Obama was a foreign-born Muslim. Two persons belonging to the same party making two different comments has brought about prominence to the issue.
