Cash for Vote: Did Stephenson Voluntarily Approach TDP?
The A4 accused in cash-for-vote case, Mathew Jerusalem alias Mattaiah made sensational comments on CM KCR. Mattaiah filed complaint on the CM of Telangana in police station at Satyanarayanapuram of Vijayawada. He mentioned in the complaint that he has been receiving phone calls from the Telangana government, threatening of killing him. Based on the complaint filed by Mattaiah, police have filed cases against Telangana CM KCR and ACB officials of Telangana under IPC sections 506,507,387. Mattaiah said that he has been receiving phone calls from anonymous persons saying that his wife and children are in their custody. So, he requested police protection as there is a threat from the Telangana government.
Under this context, when Mattaiah spoke, he said that KCR has taken Rs.1 cr from Stephenson to nominate him as MLA. He mentioned that Stephenson was all broke and was looking for a loan and he was willing to vote against TRS as the party insulted him numerous times. He was thrown out of the training camp in Nagarjuna Sagar, he said. So, he decided to vote against TRS. Mattaiah said that the nominated MLA approached them and first met Sebastian. The TDP activist made clear that when the matter leaked to Telangana government through Stephenson’s gunmen, he was asked by the government and ACB officials to help them trap Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu. He said that Revanth Reddy was trapped based on the orders of superiors. Mattaiah said that he has been receiving telephone calls forcing him to confess that AP CM Chandrababu Naidu is involved in cash-for-vote scam.
