Demand falls for Mobile Phones after 20 years in India
The demand for mobile phones in India has got a break as sales of mobile phones have gone down after 20 years. Sales went down by 14.5% in the first quarter of the year,reveal reports by Cyber Media Research Consultancy. While 6.2 crore mobile phones were sold in the final quarter of last year, this year’s first quartered could witness 5.3 crore phones. Smart phone selling rate has gone down by 7.4% and the rate of selling lesser priced feature phones has gone down by 18.3%. The sudden downfall in purchase of smart phones in India, where sales were once very high is annoying mobile phone manufacturers and their retailers as well.
