Devotees to Get Free Laddu in Tirupathi Temple
A good news to all devotees of Lord Vekateswara. The Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam has decided to offer a free laddu to each devotee who visits the Lord’s Temple in Tirupathi. It was announced by TTD Chairman Chadalavada Krishnamurthy that several crucial decisions have been made to increase the income of the Devasthanam. Krishnamurthy expressed possibility in hike in the price of regular laddu that is now priced at Rs.25 and also the price of Kalyanam laddu that now costs Rs. 100. The cost of tickets for Arjitha seva is also likely to increase. He said that current booking for Rs.300 ticket will be initiated in Tirumala, failing which he said it will definitely be started it in Tirupathi. Krishnamurthy also said that those who offer donations of Rs. 10 lakh will be given chance for immediate Darshan.
The VIP break darshan that is generally held after early morning pooja offered to Lord Venkateswara on Fridays is of inconvenience to those devotees who opt the regular darshan as delay will be much more. So, Krishnamurthy said that they are looking into cancelling the break darshan totally and it will be finalized after discussing with the TTD Board. He said that the Andhra Pradesh CM responded positively for constructing Balaji Reservoir to help people of Tirumala and Tirupathi from the water problem faced by them and that the reservoir’s construction will start soon. Efforts will be put in to frame laws for not allowing airplanes to fly over Lord Venkateswara’s temple, he said. Like no time in history, as many as 1,00,791 devotees took the Darshan of Lord Venkateswara, said Chadalavada.
