EAMCET as per Schedule; Reach Centres by Thursday Evening: Ganta
Andhra Pradesh HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao announced that EAMCET-2015 would be held as per original schedule in the state. He said that all arrangements are made for EAMCET that would be held tomorrow. When Ganta addressed media after a meeting with chairman of AP State Council of Higher Education, he said that they were expecting 2.55 lakh students would take the EAMCET examination on Friday. Keeping in mind the future of children, the minister said that unions should think over not calling for RTC strike tomorrow. Ganta suggested that all students reach respective centres by Thursday evening. The AP Government has requisitioned all the private school buses in the 13 districts to transfer students to their centres. Already, a large number of students have reached bus stations in various places to board buses, mentioned the minister.
RTC MD Sambasiva Rao on the other hand said that they have made alternative and special arrangements for students attending EAMCET. He also suggested students to reach examination centres by Thursday and assured maximum possible buses running from each depot. Sambasiva Rao said that engineering college buses should be operated free of charge for the students.
