Free Meals for Indians in Pakistan!
A Pakistani man who runs an American food chain is offering free meals to Indians who visit their country on a short-term Visa. Iqbal Latif (26) who runs 26 franchises of Dunkin’ Donuts international food chain in Islamabad, Lahore and Pareshwar is doing this since a week as a reaction to Pakistani family not being offered accommodation in Mumbai hotels. The man seems to have adopted a novel protest against it. “It’s not a big deal, but an effort to invoke the teachings of Gandhiji who preached love and coexistence all his life,” said Iqbal. When six Pakistanis belonging to Lahore region visited hotels in Bhendi Bazar area in Mumbai, management reportedly refused to provide accommodation to them since they do not have Form-C. So, they had to spend that night on roads. Iqbal Latif who was moved with the incident adopted the procedure of offering free meals to Indians.
