Golden Baba Wears 15kg Gold
A sadhu attracted attention of all at the Kumbh Mela in Haridwar with the gold that he was wearing. The golden baba was seen taking bath in the holy Ganga River. He was sporting gold that weighs 15.5 kg and worth nearly Rs.3 crore. Chains of various designs, rings for every finger and a 27 lakh rupees worth watch studded with diamonds made disciples and onlookers dumbstruck.
This golded baba was earlier called Sudhir Kumar Makkad and was a clothes merchant. He turned a sadhu and is now leading a simple life. The man has been fond of gold since his childhood. That is the reason he says he sports many kg of gold and feels happy. The baba also appointed bodyguards. He says that he does not know how much weight is on his body. It is known that Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat inaugurated the Kumbh Mela on 12th January and it will be held till 22nd April.
