Telangana state capital and Indian national capital are competing on the list of polluted regions. Noise pollution is one of the major problems being faced by people living in cities and metroes. Urbanization has resulted in establishment of industries and allied activities in these places. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has revealed in its latest report, how the noise pollution can result in aggression, hypertension, hearing loss, tinnitus and sleep disturbance. Noise level beyond prescribed limits ie., 55 dB during day time and 45 dB during night time is considered as noise pollution. The CPCB has gathered data from 35 noise monitoring systems installed in 9 metro cities and made observation. Mumbai, the noisiest city in India, is followed by Lucknow, Hyderabad, Delhi, Chennai, and Bengaluru. The reports also says that ITO in Delhi and Bandra in Mumbai are nosier than the busiest parts of London, New York and Beijing.
