I was in depression after Kushi: Pawan Kalyan
“People have huge expectations on me. They always expect me to do wonders. I don’t know that my films have set a benchmark. Believe me or not, I was in depression after Kushi as I don’t know what do I work on next? I never dreamt of becoming an actor, rather I wanted to be a technician as my brother is an actor,” said Pawan Kalyan during his recent interaction with the media. The actor took the responsibility of penning the story and screenplay for Sardaar Gabbar Singh but speculations were rife that he is the ghost director of the film. However, Pawan contradicts the news and affirms that he didn’t involve in direction. “It’s not like I can’t direct a film but since I will be involving in writing, acting and overseeing production stuff, I don’t see a point donning the director’s hat. I prepared the story board as it’s my brainchild. Apart from this, I didn’t contribute much and Bobby is the director of Sardaar Gabbar Singh.” Pawan also stated that he will quit films by 2018 and not sure on how many films he will act in the coming days. “Once I take up politics, I will quit working in films as I want to dedicate my time on political activities. Janasena will contest in 2019 general elections and I will fight for all the issue I mentioned before,” he said.
