India Beats Sri Lanka by 278 Runs in 2nd Test Match
Team India had victorious defeat over Sri Lanka by 278 runs in 2nd test match held at Colombo. This leveled the three-match series at 1-1. Indian bowlers played a prominent role in this victory. Sri Lanka that was challenged with handsome score of 413 was all-out for 134 runs.
With overnight score of 72/2, Team Sri Lanka started batting this morning. With the elegant bowling skills shown by Team Indian players, Sri Lanka lost wicket soon after it started batting. Indian pacer Umesh Yadav then took Sri Lanka Captain Mathews’ wicket. Chandimal, Tirumanne were out back-to-back. Mubaraq and Dammika Prasad were back to pavilion even before scoring any. Indian off spinner Ashwin took 5 wickets ad showed extraordinary performance, contributing most part of Team India’s victory. Amit Misra also did well. He took 3 wickets during the match. Ajinkya Rahane was awarded Man of The Match after scoring a Century. It is known that India scored 393 and Sri Lanka, 306 during first innings. While Team India was declared at 325/8, Sri Lanka scored 134.
