Jayalalithaa DA Case: Karnataka to Challenge in Supreme Court
The Karnataka government would be challenging Jayalalithaa’s acquittal in Supreme Court. The Karnataka High Court acquitted Jayalalithaa. The Karnataka HC has given a period of 90 days to appeal in the case. The Karnataka government has decided to approach Supreme Court to appeal against the acquittal on the advice of the state’s advocate general. DMK leader Karunanidhi made clear a week ago that his party would appeal against Jayalalithaa’s acquittal. BJP leader Subrahmanian Swamy had also tweeted earlier that he would soon be approaching the apex court and Jayalalithaa will have to resign once again if she swears as the CM.
