Jayalalithaa Wins RK Nagar By-election with High Majority
Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa won the Radhakrishna Nagar by-election with high majority over opponents with as many as more than 1 lakh 50 thousand votes. While Jayalalithaa was leading since the counting started, she won with a surprisingly high majority at the end. Upon being acquitted in Disproportionate Assets case, Jayalalithaa took charge again as the CM of Tamil Nadu. Since she has to be elected as an MLA within 6 months, previous AIADMK MLA of the locality had resigned. Polling commenced in the are on 27th june. Governor Rosaiah congratulated CM Jayalalithaa on being elected with high majority in the by-election. Tamil Nadu is celebrating the success of Puratchi Thalaivi.
