Telangana Chief Minister KCR said that all villages in the state should brightly shine with the Grama Jyothi scheme. He insisted officials on involving common public in scheduling rural development plans. CM KCR today addressed an awareness program on Grama Jyothi at Prof Jayashankar Agriculture University in Rajendranagar, Hyderabad. The program was attended by Collectors, JCs, SPs, ZP CEOs and district panchayat officers. The Telangana CM spoke on eradication of poverty and asked MLAs to adopt one village per mandal and develop them. Rural development is not being noticed as desired and garbage is witnessed everywhere in villages, he said. The CM said that it is the duty of locals to keep their surroundings clean. KCR wants MLAs to create awareness among people about Grama Jyothi scheme. Gangadevipalli, Ankapur, Chinna Mulkanoor should be taken as example, problems should be solved patiently, maintaining balance, KCR said. It may be noted that the program is aimed at overall development of villages using funds for basic amenities, housing facility, facilities and infrastructure.
