Kejriwal Takes Advantage of Farmer’s Death
A farmer committing suicide during Aam Aadmi Party’s Kisaan rally against land-acquisition law has caused riots. A Gajender Singh who belonged to Dausa village Rajasthan hanged himself. “As I had lost all my harvest due to unseasonal rains, Government has not come to my rescue. So I decided to kill myself”, stated a note found with Gajendra. Conflict arouse in Lok Sabha over the issue in which political parties were blamed.
But facts about the issue are entirely different from those that were stated:
1.Gajender who was a farmer had no financial crisis. Fairly big house, 10 acres of aricultural land, teak wood trees…pretty good property.
2.Farming was not his primary source of income. His main job was draping of Rajasthani turbans. He earned good sum by doing the same for toursists. He charged Rs. 500 if he had to drape Turban for a foreigner. He was even running a website for the same.
3.Gajender was elected the Sarpanch (head of the village) in past. He tried for an MLA ticket in Samaj Vaadi Party and BJP. Recenty he decided to flourish in AAP.
4.Gajendra visited Delhi to meet Kejriwal but the AAP leader did not meet him. It is being said that he met Sisodia.
5.It is true that harvest was lost in Gajender’s village due to unseasonal rains. Government has not provided compensation as the loss was accounted to be less than 25%. Gajender is said to have gone to Delhi saying that he will protest against it.
6.Gajender’s family members concluded that the handwriting in the note found with Gajender is not his’.
Considering all these factors, it can be said that Gajender was a common man trying to advance politically. He initiated a suicide drama so as to gain publicity. Gajender sent a text message to his brother from the top of a tree that they will soon be watching them on television. Meanwhile, something went wrong and Gajender was dead. Political parties create ruckus try to take advantage when an incident like this takes place. Now, AAP is now trying to take advantage of Gajender Singh’s death. So, Kejriwal has also started drawing political gains from the dead.
