Killing Veerappan Gets New Release Date

The much-talked film, Ram Gopal Varma’s Killing Veerappan, which was supposed to release on Friday, has been postponed. The delay in clearance of censor formalities is the reason for the postponement of release of the film. Killing Veerappan is originally a Kannada flick and makers had applied for censor clearance in Karnataka. The officials, however, had asked for a no-objection certificate from the Animal Board in Chennai. It took time to get the certificate as the office in Chennai was recently damaged due to floods. The Censor Board clears the film for other languages only when the original Kannada version is cleared. Ram Gopal Varma was left with no option and postponed the release of Telugu version. Now, the makers of Killing Veerappan have announced that the film will be releasing in Telugu on January 7th. The Kannada version released yesterday on the eve of New Year. Shiva Rajkumar is playing the lead character of a cop while a debutant actor, Sandeep Bharadwaj, is playing Veerappan in Killing Veerappan. The Kannada version of the film has been getting a lot of appreciation. There were too many positive reports of the film and everyone says “RGV Is Back.”
