Koratala Siva responds on Srimanthudu Issue
After facing plagiarism charges for Srimanthudu story, director Koratala Siva has opened up about the controversy. One writer named Sarath Chandra alleged that Koratala copied the story of Mahesh Babu- starrer Srimanthudu from his novel Chachentha Prema which was published in 2012. The writer lodged a case with City Civil Court which eventually slapped legal notices to Koratala Siva, Mythri Movie makers and Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan, who is going to reprise Mahesh Babu’s role in the Hindi remake of Srimanthudu. Koratala stated that the Telugu Film Writers Association gave him a clean chit and denied all the charges of allegedly copying the story from the novel. Further, Koratala refused to comment on the issue as it has legal course in the offing and expressed his faith in the Indian Judiciary system. It is worth mentioning that the novel penned by Sarath Chandra revolves around Veligodu project and didn’t have the concept of adoption. Perhaps, the director is confident of this adoption concept and believes that he will walk in with a clean chit by the court.
