Magasaysay Awards for Sanjiv Chaturvedi & Anshu Gupta
AIIMS Deputy Secretary Sanjiv Chaturvedi has been chosen for the prestigious Ramon Magasaysay award. The award that is given to those who show exemplary work in various fields by the Phillippines government is now announced for two Indians. AIIMS Deputy Secretary Sanjiv Chaturvedi and Ashu Guta, founder of NGO Goonj.
50 Indians won the Ramon Magasaysay awards from 1959. Some of them were Mother Teressa, MS Subba Lakshmi, Kiran bedi, Aruna Rai, Kejriwal and Palagummi Sainath.
