Maggi Noodles Banned in Kerala State
The Kerala government has banned Maggi in the state passing orders that sale of these noodles should not be observed. Maggi consists of chemical substances above permissible levels, which are hazardous to human health, said Haridwar Food and Drug Administration after official after examining the product. So the Food and Civil Supplies minister Anoop Jacob has directed Kerala State civil supplies corporation to stop the sale of Maggi noodles. He said that the ban will continue until there is clarity on the quality of the product. Officials have decided that the unsold stock of Maggi should be sent back to Nestle. There are around 1355 state-run-outlets in Kerals. Uttar Pradesh has already imposed ban on the Maggi noodles.
