Passenger Stopped by IndiGo Airlines Staff for Wearing ‘Short Dress’
A female passenger who was travelling from Doha to Delhi was allegedly stopped by IndiGo Airlines staff from boarding the flight in Mumbai for wearing a short dress! The woman boarded a flight in Qatar and reached Mumbai, where she was supposed to board a connecting flight to Delhi. She was dressed in a short frock, which the IndiGo staff felt was inappropriate for travel. Nobody raised any objection at the Doha airport. She was not indecently dressed. She was wearing a frock that ended above her knee,” said a co-passenger of the woman. As the woman had no other choice, she had to change her dress. During this course, she missed her flight. However, IndiGo staff arranged seat for her to Delhi in another flight after she changed to pants. The woman is reportedly a former IndiGo airline employee and her sister is presently an airhostess. Keeping in mind the dresscode to be followed by their staff while using staff leisure travel privileges, she was not allowed to travel in the short dress, said IndiGo officials.
