Plane Crash in Sudan; Atleast 40 Dead
A plane crash occurred in Juba, the capital of South Sudan, killing atleast 40 people. Two persons have survived, one being a crew member and the other, a child, said a presidential spokesperson, who added that the plane was Russian-builts. The cargo plane that was taking off went 800m from the Juba airport and suddenly came down on the bank of River Nile and crashed into the thick vegetation there. It is said that 25 passengers and a few others from farming community who resided at the place were killed in the crash. However, the exact number of passengers is not yet known. Police are recovering bodies from debris of the cargo plane. Reasons for crash are yet to be known.
