Police Custody for Indrani Mukherjea Extended Till 5th Sep
In the sensational 2012 murder case of Sheena Bora, Indrani Mukherjea, who was allegedly accused of murdering her daughter is ordered to be police custody till 5th September by Mumbai’s Bandra Court. Accused in the case, Indrani Mukherjea, her past husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyam Rai were presented at court by police. Mumbai police requested the court more time to investigate Indrani Mukherjea in the case. The court approved their request and extended custody over the accused till 5th September.
On the other hand, Indrani’s lawyers strongly argued that she was investigated for 80-90 hours since arrest and the police need not take her into custody anymore. Since cased was earlier filed on Indrani, the lawyer said that custody is not necessary. But the Justice who did not agree to argument by Indrani’s lawyer extended police custody over her. Indrani Mukherjea and Sanjeev Khanna’s daughter Vidhie who attended the hearing broke down into tears.
