Prakash Raj Gets a Replacement
It was believed no one could replace veteran actor Prakash Raj but now, it seems like the actor has got a replacement. Rao Ramesh is evolving as a competition to Prakash Raj. Many directors and producers believed that none could play a role so well in their films like Prakash Raj does. He was a monarch in Tollywood for nearly two decades. Film makers waited for Prakash Raj’s dates for long times and paid him the remuneration that he demanded. Since Prakash Raj is basically a great performer, our directors and producers tolerated all this. But Rao Ramesh is now under consideration in place of Prakash Raj by many film makers. Here is an example for it.
Debutant director Sankalp Reddy is making a film titled ‘Ghazi’ that features Rana Daggubati in lead role. The film is based on PNS Ghazi submarine which sunk under suspicious circumstances during the time of India-Pakistan war in 1971. Rana will be seen as a naval officer in the film. When Prakash Raj was approached to play a vital role in the film, he initially gave a nod but he later took over direction responsibility of ‘Mana Oori Ramayanam’. So, he told makers of Ghazi that he will surely star in the film but asked them to schedule shoot to dates which he is convenient with. With this, Ghazi unit decided to rope in Rao Ramesh to play the role in the film. Sources say that Prakash Raj fired on the film unit for uninformed changes and the unit responded that it is not acceptable that he comes to shoot only when he can. This is how Rao Ramesh replaced Prakash Raj in the film.
