Producer angry with Manchu Manoj
Manchu Manoj is regarded as a minimum guarantee hero of the Telugu film industry. He enjoys decent following among youth and masses – thanks to his versatile story selection and the kind of roles he chooses. It’s no strange that film makers evince a lot of interest to make a film with Manoj, considering his ability to pull of any role with ease. And one such producer is Malkapuram Siva Kumar. According to grapevine, the producer is extremely unhappy over the performance of his recent outing Shourya. Apparently, Shiva is not taking it light and is venting his frustration on Manoj for his inability to attract the audiences to theaters with his performance. The film ended up as a colossal flop in Manoj’s career and is incurring huge losses to its distributors. Though Manoj tasted several big flops in the past, this Dasaradh directorial has outnumbered all those films. The film has hit the screens in 700 screens and irony is the collections dropped heavily and it is becoming nightmarish for distributors to recover the theater rent as well. Made on a budget of Rs 8 crore, the film might lose out more than 70%, says trade pundits.
