Ramalinga Raju Declared Guilty in ‘Satyam Corporate Scandal’
India’s largest accounting fraud came into light on 7th jan, 2009 after the founder and the then chairman of Satyam, Ramalinga Raju confessed to manipulating the firm’s account books and inflating profits over years. Today, Judge BVLN Chakravarthi of the special court declared Ramalinga Raju guilty in the case. Others involved in the case namely Rama Raju, Vadlamani Srinivas, auditors Talluri Srinivas, S. Gopala Krishna, ex-employees Rama Krishna, Venkatapathi Raju, Sri Sailam and internal auditor Prabhakar Gupta were also declared criminal. Trails took place all through the past 5 years regarding the case on corporate fraud. The final verdict regarding imprisonment and penalty will be pronounced by the special court on 10th April,2015. Sources say that lawyers and associates believe Ramalinga Raju will be out of jail in no time.
