Salman Khan Arms Act Case: Court Dismisses Plea
Salman Khan who has been bailed in hit-and-run case and celebrating it has got a blow from Jodhpur court. Black buck hunting case was filed 16 years ago against the Bollywood actor. A petition filed by Salman Khan in the case was rejected by Jodhpur sessions court. Salman’s plea to the court was witness re-examination, which was dismissed by the Jodhpur court.
In October, 1998, the crew of ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ was in Jodhpur to shoot for the movie. Blackbucks, an endangered animal and under the Wildlife Protection Act, and 3 Chinkaras were killed on the outskirts of Kankani village near Jodhpur allegedly by Salman Khan. The license of weapons used for the hunt had expired, said the forest department officials, filing case againt him according to Arms Act. Cases were also filed against Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu and Neelam under Wildlife Protection Act.
