Salman Khan Hit & Run Verdict
Salman Khan’s 2002 hit & run case verdict was pronounced by Bombay High Court this afternoon. HC said that the prosecution failed to prove against Salman Khan in the case. ‘Prosecution was not able to prove that the actor was drinking and moreover driving the vehicle on the night of the accident’, said Justice A R Joshi, acquitting Salman of all charges in the hit and run case.
As soon as verdict is pronounced, Salman’s family members surrounded him in court and the Bollywood star broke down into tears. “Any strong suspicion cannot be enough to hold someone guilty. Prosecution hasn’t brought material on record to prove case and its entire evidence was based circumstantial in nature,” said High Court. It is known that trial court imposed 5 years imprisonment on Salman Khan in 2002 hit and run case and the actor approached the Bombay High Court challenging the verdict. The HC has now relieved Salman Khan in the case.
