Shiv Sena Fires on BJP & VHP Leaders
Shiv Sena slammed the BJP and VHP that are advertising to increase Hindu population to strengthen the religion in the country. “Don’t they know that excess population is one of the problems faced by India?”, questioned Shiv Sena. ‘Some BJP MPs and VHP leaders advocate four marriages for Hindus and maximum children to give a tough fight for Muslims. The BJP government or senior leaders should clarify on this rather than we commenting over it’, opined the party through its mouthpiece Saamana.
They mentioned that strengthening does not mean increasing population and that family planning laws should be made stricter. It came down on Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Pravin Togadia over his remarks recently at the Kumbh Mela in Nashik that Hindus should produce 4 to 5 children, which is contrary to India’s official slogan ‘small family, happy family’. It said that not having kids is not a curse and one family need not produce 4 or 5 children to experience that happiness. It is known that BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj recently triggered controversy by saying that each Hindu woman should produce atleast four children.
