Srimanthudu Review & Rating – ECG
Prince Mahesh Babu had no proper hit though he experimented on films or formulated them in recent past. Did Mahesh satisfy his hunger for a blockbuster through Srimanthudu? Did Mahesh make his fans feel proud though Srimanthudu? Let us review Srimanthudu that gained hit talk on release date.
Harsha (Mahesh Babu) is the son of a billionaire named Ravikanth (Jagapathi Babu). Harsh is not interested in continuing his family business. He wishes every person be happy and basically has hlping nature. He falls in love with Chaaruseela (Shruti Hassan) when he sees her on his way to temple. Harsha who is impressed with the Rural Development course being pursued by Chaaruseela joins in the same college. Friendship blossoms between them, which later turns into love. Sashi, the brother of central minister and politician in the place, Venkata Ratnam (Mukhesh Rishi) harasses people in the village. How Harsha saved the village from those wicked politicans, how he gained back the love of Chaaruseela How Harsha’s famil, especially his father who always thrives money reacted to this makes the remaining part of the story.
How about the movie?
Mahesh simply rocked in his character. With his action, dance, fights and looks.. he impressed not only fans but everyone. Jagapathi Babu as Ravikanth and Rajendra Prasad as Pedda Narayana Rao performed well. Especially Jagapathi Babu got a good character. Sruthi Hassan did well as usual and showed skin in a song too. Vennela Kishore and Ali tickled the audiences.
Coming to story writer, director Koratala Siva, he wrote amazing dialogues. Wonderful dialogues in emotional scenes, laughter in comedy scenes, picturization of songs, fights…he gave the best output in everything. He simply blended message and mass in the film Srimanthudu with star hero like Mahesh babu. The experience of Mirchi might have helped him. Choosing the concept of rural development and wonderfully showing us the affection that exists among people without missing the mass element, Koratala Siva delivered a great hit film for Mahesh Babu. Coming to Devi Sri Prasad, his tunes definitely make us tap our feet. Except the title song, all songs in Srimanthudu are simply rocking. Cinematographer Madhie stunningly showed the film in a rich manner. But editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao seems to have forgotten editing Srimanthudu because 163 minutes is a long time for this story. Fights are great but far away from logic. Villain charaters are not well shown in the film. Though the climax could be much better, director seems to have kept mass in mind and ended it in the way it is. Except climax and pre-climax, the remaining is awesome. Producers Mythri Movie Makers gave their entry to tollywood with a superhit film. Let us hope for more such films from them. So, Mahesh’s fans are celebrating Dasara now itself with the super hit of Srimanthudu!
