Terrorists are Seated in Our Parliament: Sadhvi Prachi
VHP leader Sadhvi Prachi triggered controversy by saying that terrorists exist in Indian parliament. She made the comments targeting MPs who opposed the execution of 1993 Mumbai blasts accused Yaqub Memon. Sadhvi asking government to hand over terrorist Mohammed Naved caught in Udhampur to Hindu associations and that they will teach him a lesson has aggravated the situation.
When Sadhvi Prachi addressed media in Roorkee, she mentioned a person who opposed execution of Yaqub Memon by the government. Reacting to this, Sadhvi said that there is nothing more unfortunate than one or two terrorists being seated in the Indian Parliament, opposing hanging of Yaqub Memon. Prachi uttered that those who support terrorists are terrorists themselves.
Congress party spontaneously reacted to Sadhvi Prachi’s comments. ‘Parliament is like a temple in democratic country and calling people as terrorists is an insult to the parliament’, said Congress leader Pramod Tiwari. He demanded action to be taken against Lok Sabha speaker Sumithra Mahajan.
