Vangaveeti is my Last Film: Ram Gopal Varma
Sensational director Ram Gopal Varma released an audio file in which he mentioned that Vangaveeti is his last film. He said that following in his own voice:
I was born and brought up in Hyderabad but I was actually born and brought up in Vijayawada because that is where I got to know about love, affection, cleverness, killing etc.
My Raktha Charitra that came in Anantapur backdrop and Vangaveeti that comes in Vijayawada rowdyism show the difference between revenge and rage.
A person who wants to take revenge lives like as if his enemy is his life whereas, a person with rage treats the world as his enemy.
When the world around a person does not treat him as a human, he turns into a rowdy.
A factionist wants to kill enemy even if it costs his life but a rowdy kills for his living.
Since the evolution of mankind, in the violence that was witnessed so far, if factionist is a bridge, rowdy is a turn.
While factionism comes with heritage, guts are the background of rowdyism.
A fearless person finishing an equal is the true meaning of rowdyism.
I have witnessed such rowdyism with my own eyes about 30 years ago while I was studying in Siddhartha Engineering College in Vijayawada. So, I can bet that there is no one else who knows Vijayawada rowdyism better than me.
Vangaveeti will be my last film in Telugu. I have started with Shiva and will end with Vangaveeti as I strongly believe I can never get a great story that is as realistic as Vangaveeti in future.
Vangaveeti movie shows how the rowdyism that started when Vangaveeti Radha assassinating Chalasani Venkataratnam ended with the killing of Vangaveeti Ranga.
Vangaveeti which comes with a story that happened 30 years ago in Vijayawada when there were no swords, lances, ambassador cars, matador vans, cell phones or guns. Our producer Dasari Kiran Kumar encouraged us not to worry about budget while filming and our Vangaveeti unit is getting ready for the big release.
