WhatsApp to be Free & Useful
Popular messaging application WhatsApp can now be used free of cost worldwide. The company announced that they would not be charging any amount of money from users. Presently, there is no charge for usage of Whatsapp in India but in foreign countries, the company announced that the app can be used free of cost during the first year and an annual fee of $1 will be charged from the next year.
WhatsApp announced that the company initially planned to charge users for usage of its messaging app but later realized that it is not possible. They disclosed that the fee applicable on various versions of WhatsApp will be made ineffective after a few weeks.
100 crore people around the world use WhatsApp application. The company is not charging fee from Indian users. WhatsApp announced that its men are testing various tools to provide services in order to make it more useful to users. Also tools that could connect users to various businesses, organizations, banks etc on WhatsApp will be tested this year. However, there will be no third party ads on WhatsApp.
