World Badminton: Indian Players Lose Quarter Finals

Indian Shuttler P.V.Sindhu who fought hard in World Badminton Championship Quarter Finals lost the match. Sindhu went down 17-21, 21-19, 16-21 to eight-seeded Sung Ji Hyun in a marathon quarterfinal match in Jakarta today. Though the shuttler lost the first set, she recovered during second set but Hyun won the 3rd and deciding set. PV Sindhu played extraordinarily during Women’s Singles pre-quarter finals match with 21-17,14-21,21-17 over World No.3 Badminton player Li Xuerui of China. Sindhu’s fans are disappointed as she won bronze in 2013 and 2014 but returned so soon this year. It is known that Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa also lost Women’s Doubles Quarter Finals match.
