Story : Nayaki

A place named Dundigal near Hyderabad is declared as a restricted area after people started disappearing unconventionally. This is happening from many years. One night sanjay (Satyam Rajesh) along with his friend Sandhya (Sushma Raj) starts travelling to his friend’s (Nara Rohith) guest house. Being a playboy, Rajesh wants to cheat Sandhya and enjoy with her in that lonely guest house. Due to some un expected consequences he reaches a bungalow in the restricted area in Dundigal. There is a ghost named Gayatri (Trisha) in the bungalow who tortures the ones who comes there and finally kills them.
What’s the reason for the strange behaviour of Gayatri ?
Why she turned as a ghost ?
Why she kills everyone ?
Did sanjay escaped from the trap of Gayatri ? If so, how ?
forms the rest of the story.

Performance of Actors

Trisha did her best in the role of Gayatri as a ghost. Her screen presence and expressions are perfect. Except her dubbing everything is fine. Satyam Rajesh got a good role in full length and he is the major character in the film. He entertained the audience with both positive and negative shades. Sushma Swaraj is a special mention. She did the innocent girl character with ease. Rest of the actors did their best.

Tecnical Team Performance

We can appreciate Director Govi for coming with a different story line. The main problem is with the execution.Cinematographer Jagadeesh did a good job in this almost single location flick. Raghu Kunche audio is mediocre. BGM is routine just like every other horror movie. Editing is okay. Production values are good.

‘KORADA’ Take On Nayaki

Director Govi failed in executing a new style of story. There  is nothing new in the screenplay. This movie is publicized as a Horror Comedy but there is neither horror nor comedy throught the film. There are no scenes which can engage audience and make them stick to the seats. Scenes like ghost being visible only one mobile phone is funny and that is prolonged in the whole movie. There are many unwanted scenes like old drama with Kovai sarala and batch. One of the character named Mallepoola Muralki Krishna is no where required but forcibly added into the script.
First half of the movie is boring with prolonged and unwanted scenes. The interval bang is not that great and comes all of a sudden. It will not create any curiosity to the audience to watch second half. Second half is again a boring drama and makes you think of leaving the theater as soon as possible. Even the flash back episode is very boring. Songs came as speed breakers and tested the patience of audience. Scenes like ghosts parying the god in Bhadrakali song is illogical. Even the climax is very silly. There is neither comedy nor horror in this so called Horror comedy. Please stay away from Nayaki.
