Nirmala Convent Story

Samuel (Roshan) is a brilliant student at Nirmala Convent. He falls in love with Shanthi (Shriya), the daughter of local landlord Bhupathi Raju. Bhupathi Raju’s family have disputes with Samuel’s family regarding one acre land. Both the families comes to know about the love affair of Samuel and Shanthi resulting Bhupathi Raju sending men to attack Samuel. Samuel’s father approaches Bhupathi Raju with marriage proposal of Samuel with Shanthi for which Bhupathi Raju insults Samuel’s father and grabs his one acre land too. What did Samuel do now to win his love and how did he manage to become rich and popular forms the rest of the story.

Debutante Roshan has given a good performance in Nirmala Convent. He has got a lovely beginning in the film industry. All he needs to do now is to stay away from films for a couple of years and should get back with interesting and different scripts where he can have scope to perform. Nirmala Convent has revealed the budding actor in him and he should plan his career properly and with it, he surely has a long way to go. Shriya Sharma, on the other side is too good. She is cute and expressive. Both the lead actors performed well and the chemistry between them is nice! The actor who played Shriya’s father did his role well but it would have been nice if some other actor was casted for that role. Rest of the actors played their parts well and made their presence felt. Nirmala Convent is surely going to be a good film in Roshan’s career.

Technical Aspects

The cinematography of the film is very good. The framing and colours are impressive. The music of the film was already a hit. Roshan Saluri has did a good job in giving good and pleasant music. Songs sounded great while watching them on screen. The background score of the film is impressive too! It did help the film to some extent. The editing was okay! The production values are rich.

Review On Nirmala Convent

Nirmala Convent has nothing new to convey about. Though the film was promoted as a fresh and pure love story, it doesnt appear like that. The film has an outdated concept but the makers tried to add some freshness to the script by including Nagarjuna Akkineni in the script and implementing Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu concept in the second half. Nirmala Convent is more of the protagonist proving his own talent to gain respect in his village than the teenage love drama.

The first half of Nirmala Convent tests the patience for sure. With some boring scenes and improper execution, the film fails to engage. Nirmala Convent loses its soul and starts dealing too many things in between. The impressive performances from lead actors and the screen presence of Nagarjuna are the major plus points in the film. There are hardly any great scenes in the first half. A bit trimming can also be given to it. The second half is much better than the first half. The game show concept which was included in the second half comes as a saviour preventing the film from becoming a flop. And then, the game show also appears as a serial. The comfort factor was that it is bearable.

On a whole, Nirmala Convent is an impressive effort from Roshan which turns positive for him. He has got great screen presence and the potential of becoming a good actor like his father. He has a long way to go. With some patience, the film can be given a single time watch!

Verdict: Nirmala Convent Is Good In Parts

Rating: 2.5/5
