Priyamani’s Tweets Into Controversy
There is a lot of buzz going on some of the tweets posted by the South actress Priyamani on Twitter. The actress has revealed her disappointment and unhappy nature with the way the women are facing struggles, problems and the atrocities in the country. The actress says that she only expressed her opinion and pain over the heinous crime, rape and murder of 29-year Jisha. And in this disappointing and pain situation, she made a statement that Indian is not safe for women and girls. Actress Priyamani vented her anger on the rape and asked women to leave the country as it is not safe.
“Appalled and shocked to read about yet another tragic rape and murder!i don’t think India is safe anymore for women. Someone in Bangalore is picked up in the middle of the night and was almost on the verge of being raped..and then this! If this is the way it’s going..Women and Girls in India I pls beg all of u to get out of India and live elsewhere where it is safer! #JusticeForJisha” she tweeted.
She started getting abusive tweets.
“To everyone who’s replying to my tweets…I request u to READ my tweets properly..I have never spoken against our country! I have only expressed my feelings towards the untoward incidents which have occurred and r still occurring!how is this anti India??READ!! Its so silly to read all the followers reactions to the tweet where I have just mentioned that the women in India aren’t safe! And I’m being called Anti-Indian..” she said.
