To be more precise, Satakarni (Balakrishna), with the motto of one king and one kingdom starts war on the neighborhood kingdoms and slowly gets control over one after the other. Gautamiputra Satakarni: Performances
Nandamuri Balakrishna is the show stealer. Single-handedly; he has taken the film to an entirely next level. The film completely revolves around him, Shriya Saran and Hema Malini. Each one of them has put a decent performance and made us connect to the original emotion in the story. Balakrishna impresses with him as usual dialogue delivery. Every single dialogue that he delivered has garnered a lot of special attention from the crowds. The way he shines in war sequences is also impressive. On the whole, it is a complete Balakrishna one man show in a genuine manner. Shriya Saran and Hema Malini have got strong characters in the film. Both of them have done perfect justice to their roles. Hema Malini as a mother is excellent. The scenes between them have come out well. On the whole, everyone did a finer job regarding performances.

Gautamiputra Satakarni: KORADA.com Review
Gautamiputra Satakarni film has a lot of good things to carry. The first half of the film is very much engaging. The film has a good story that every one of us must and should watch. Also, there are so many other interesting aspects that reveal the true and passionate film making of Krish. The narration is completely intriguing, and you will be taken into the film completely. Every character was designed in a powerful way that they register with us very well. The first half of the film is so good with the fast-paced screenplay and well-executed war episodes. In the limited budget that Krish has given, he has shown brilliant output. He has given his best and completed the film in less working days.
All the hard work the film unit has put in clearly evident on the screen. When compared with the first half, the second half is a little dull as there are few lags and ups and downs. The drags in the second half could have been avoided too! The Second half of the film is pretty average as climax drags more than required length which can be considered as one of the drawbacks of the film. The film stars a very good cast. Bal Krishna, Hemamalini and Shriya are good in their parts and raised the curiosity levels. The second half of the film is effective. The dialogues written by Sai Madhav Burra are the major highlights in the film.
The positives of the film are the performances. The dialogues are powerful at every single point in the film. Balayya’s superb dialogues will increase the powerful impact that the film leaves us. A good first half with the Scenes elevating Telugu pride have been executed well. The negatives of the film are some lags happening in the second half of the film. The film looks grand in every single frame. The team did a great job to bring out the best output.
On technical side, the film is bright. The film that was produced by Bibo Srinivas, Saibabu Jagarlamudi and Y. Rajeev Reddy and Suhasini Panguluri will on First Frame Entertainments stand out as the best film. The production values they have maintained are rich. The writing by Krish as well as Sai Madhav Burra is brilliant. The film was perfectly adopted to share on the screen. The music by Chirantan Bhatt is too good. He did a great job with the background score as well. Cinematography by Gnana Shekar V.S is grand. The Edited by Suraj Jagtap and Rama Krishna Arram is good.
On a whole, this is a great effort from Krish and team which must be appreciated by one and all. A must watch.
