Balli Sivaji (Dhanush) works in pantry car of a train. He comes across a passenger Saroja (Keerthy Suresh) who works as a Touch Up girl for a heroine. Both fall in love with each other but unforunate incidents make them part ways for some time. At the same time, there are unwanted disturbances in the train journey and the train runs out of control and moves forward with a high speed.
What happened to the train?
Why did Sivaji and Saroja part ways?
The answers for the above two questions clearly forms the rest of the film’s story.
Dhanush, the lead actor of the film is at his best. He is a great performer and he never leaves any role that has scope to give a solid performance. Also, the film has so many interesting points in it. The makers were pretty much happy with the way the lead actors put solid performances. Dhanush has did stunts without any body double. Dhanush gave his best for the film and carried the entire film on his shoulders. Keerthy suresh on the other side is cute and was expressive. She made an impressive attempt by going de glam for the film. Keerthy also does her job perfectly well and gave a fine performance in her career. The chemistry between the lead actors has come out well. The other actors like Radha Ravi, Tambhi Ramaiah, Karunakaran, Harish Uthaman and Ganesh Venkatraman were also good in their respective roles and provided good support for the lead actors.
Technical Team Performance
The production values maintained by the producers T. G. Thiyagarajan, Sendhil Thiyagarajan, Arjun Thiyagarajan and Prabhu Solomon are impressive. The writing by is good., The dialogues could have been much better for the Telugu version. The dubbing also did not suit it well. The film has good performances. The Music scored by D. Imman is impressive. All the songs are pleasant to hear. The background score is in sync with the mood of the film and elevated the key scenes in the movie. The Cinematography by Vetrivel Mahendran is also nice. The DOP has tried his best in bringing a new look to the film. Editing by L.V.K. Doss is okay. The run time is too high as it is close to 168 minutes.
Comment On Rail
The major asset of the film is its story. The story that is happening in a train has been cooked up in an interesting manner. The real and true emotion of the story has been carried out till the end. The comedy that comes in the first half of the film is boring. The entire comedy track of the film appears to be boring. The screenplay has been designed well but with the inclusion of some unnecessary scenes, it appears to be lengthy and boring. The inclusion of conflict point in the story is too good. The lead actors Dhanush and Keerhy Suresh have performed well. Especially in the second half they proved their worth. Keerthy Suresh also emoted very well in the key scenes of the film. The interval bang is one of the major highlights of the film.
The story never begins in the first half. At the interval bang, the actual film starts but then, the interest that was generated at that point has not been carried out forward in the film properly. The logics have also been missed in the film completely. The pre climax and climax sequences have come very well but the way they were made have been unimpressive. The cinema really appears to be boring at several times. The CG is very bad in the film. The VFX works have also been presented in a boring manner.
